Hello deliciousness...

Last week Jake took me to dinner to celebrate Avery's impending arrival.

We went to Bouchon Bistro and of course they took amazing care of us. The best part of the night (besides the company of course) was the dessert they brought out. I told Jake we could share one, and he insisted that we each have our own.

I'm glad he knew what he was talking about!

Fall has finally arrived!

Last week Justin's mom gave us a huge flat full of apples from his grandparent's orchard. (It's really just a bunch of apple trees on their land, but this year they produced so much fruit they might as well have sold it!)

I couldn't imagine what I was going to do with so many apples, so I researched some ideas and decided on apple pie and apple sauce.

I think my pie turned out pretty well! It doesn't look like Bobby Flay's, but I'm pretty happy with it!
